This card, sent to me by reinholdo from Germany, shows the
Cape Otway Lighthouse, located in Victoria, Australia.
The lighthouse was built in 1848 and it was the second lighhouse ever built in Australia. Later in the 19th century, it also housed the first telegraph line connecting mainland Australia to Tasmania. It was decommissioned in 1994 and replaced by a low powered solar light in front of the original tower.
It is Australia's oldest working lighthouse and nowadays it's a local tourist attraction. You can even spend a few days at the old keeper's cottage. It's also located near an American radar bunker, built in 1942 during World War II and currently open to the public.
I think it looks absolutly amazing - I wouldn't mind visiting it at all but then again I do have a thing for lighthouses....
