This is a lovely reprint of a vintage card. It was sent to me from Estonia. Unfortunely I am unable to find out who sent it to me. Neither do I have any way of knowing what the card is about, because I don't speak estonian, but I love the look of it. The car, the clothes and even the cute luggage. It looks like a family trip to somewhere far or maybe immigrants going to live a bright new life somewhere else. Or perhaps a wealthy family's hollydays. They all look so great, all elegant and prepared for a long trip. The man in the picture looks like the driver to me. Or just the father preparing his family for a fun trip.
The beauty of old pictures is that when you don't know the story behind it, you can allways make one up! :) And I have quite an imagination...
My name is Márcia and I live in a beautiful island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean named Terceira. It is located in the Portuguese archipelago of Açores (Azores in English, Azoren in German).
I started collecting postcards when I was just a teenager but until I joined the Postcrossing Project, it was a very small collection. :)
Since then I’ve received so many beautiful cards and learned so many new things that I’ve decided it would be interesting to share that knowledge and beauty with my friends and fellow postcrossers. Hence, this blog!
I will try and make it as fun and interesting as possible and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Oh, and please don’t be shy! If you feel like it, leave a comment! Hugs to all, Márcia
